Payment Terms
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your tour.
- Payment options include cash, bank transfer, PayPal, or debit/credit card.
- Private Tours: Full payment must be made at least 7 days before the tour unless otherwise arranged.
- Group Tours: Payment is required in full upon booking.
Cancellation Policy
Private Tours:
- Cancel up to 14 days before the tour for a full refund.
- Cancel within 14 days, and the full payment is non-refundable.
Group Tours:
- Cancel up to 7 days before the tour for a full refund.
- Cancel within 7 days, and a 50% refund is available.
- Cancel within 48 hours, and no refund is provided.
Cruise Ship Cancellations:
- Experience Orkney is not liable if your cruise ship cannot dock. We recommend having travel insurance for this reason.
Tour Changes & Itinerary
- We aim to visit all sites listed on your tour itinerary. However, due to site availability or closures, we may need to substitute alternative locations.
- Private Tours: Please contact us early if you need to make any changes to your tour. Changes are subject to our standard cancellation policy if we cannot accommodate your request.
- Group Tours: Changes to group tours are not permitted.
Liability
- Many tour sites have uneven surfaces. Participation is at your own risk, and Experience Orkney is not liable for injuries or accidents.
Behaviour Policy
- Inappropriate or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. Experience Orkney reserves the right to terminate the tour immediately, with no refund provided, in cases of:
- Threatening or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or others.
- Causing a nuisance in our vehicles or at any site.
- Malicious damage or theft at historical sites (these cases will also be reported to authorities).
GDPR Compliance
- We securely store your personal information and destroy any printouts after your tour is completed.
